A grey winter’s day in Whitby, North Yorkshire, had all but the hardiest of souls out on the street. Thick fog and relentless rain had every available cafe seat covered! My family and I took shelter on our way to the chip shop in a bus stop. I took a picture of this passer-by, his wool hat dripping while we waited for the rain to stop. It didn’t! We finally found seats in the Royal Fisheries and filled the remainder of the afternoon eating fish and chips. Ah- the great British weather and traditional fare! I produced this disproportionate picture in pen and ink when I got home. ( he did have very short legs).
