People who come to parties

Autumn is here. Work has kept me firmly indoors away from the hills. I’m the ‘bear’ again made worse by those who enjoy people in office parties. I don’t do either very well and I’m brooding for sheep and peat. I also have some catching up to do on friends posts.

I promise to post a real painting soon.

  1. Sometime you just have to grin and bare it…the parties I mean.
I love sketch of the people. You make it look so easy.
Looking for to your next painting, Keith.
    Have a good evening.

  2. Hope you break free soon…my friend Laurie just lost her 14 year old westie Claire http://holessence.wordpress.com/2011/10/18/holding-vigil/
made me think of you and Doris…
Zip will not stay still for a picture…I bet the party people of the sketches were not holding very still either ?

We are having another stunning day of cold, crisp sunshine…had to just write about it today after a hearty walk

  3. You draw people, with fascinating facial expressions, very well! I’m not big on parties either – I hope you get a good dose of sheep and peat to cheer you up soon!

  4. Wonderfully expressive people! I’m annoyed by anything that interrupts my roaming about the countryside time too! Hope you finish up your work and get back to what you love soon.

    Yours,
    Nanina

  5. Great sketches

  6. For not wanting to mingle, these are good!

  7. I can certainly relate. I dread parties… I work hard at being lively and social on a regular basis, but it’s a challenge. I look forward to evenings of solitude with red wine. mmm…. Beautiful sketches from such an astute observer of expression. Amazing.

  8. Thank you Amber. I’m more social than perhaps I pretend, but I’m not a party goer. Having a glass of Shiraz right now :-) Appreciate your kind comments on the little sketches.
